£36,000 to £40,000 plus x 2 OTE uncapped commission, car allowance and benefits 

Our client is a specialist software developer that have garnered an excellent reputation for product design, development, delivery, training and ongoing support services offered, their target customer markets including the public and private sectors, including blue light, local government and education.

Our client has asked us to source a sales executive who has experience of selling software solutions, to the public or private sectors, with a predominant remit of new business development

The role:

  • This is a consultative sales role, working with customers to fully identify how they record and manage department specific information and offering software solutions to suit. 
  • Converting leads generated by the internal sales and marketing teams
  • Networking effectively to generate intercompany information that may lead to additional sales
  • Networking effectively with new customers to source new sales opportunities regionally
  • Managing the sales process from fact find to presentation, negotiation and close, supported by the technical teams
  • Based from home, covering the Northern region which is North Derbyshire up to and including Scotland, the ideal location being Cheshire / South Yorkshire / West Yorkshire

Suitable applicants:

  • Will have demonstrated success selling software solutions, ideally department specific, examples being Human Resource HR, accounting, Health and safety H&S, Occupational Health OH, training or quality departments
  • Will be happy working from home, visiting customers as required
  • Be happy converting quality leads to lucrative business, supported by the internal technical teams as required
  • Be a strong networker, ideally with experience of selling to the public and private sectors, happy generating local knowledge and referrals for sales opportunities
  • Be happy managing the 360 sales process to compliment the above
  • Naturally consultative, with the ability to interact and develop relationships at all levels
  • Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills
  • Target, deadline and success driven
  • Self-motivated team player with strong inter-personal skills
  • Consistent track record of achieving / exceeding target
